Beginning in 2022, the Garden Club designed and maintained flower containers at the Museum. The Castle Rock Historical Society and Museum is a treasure trove of information about our area's early days.
Plan a visit or sign up for a special event soon. During Spring 2022, our club reached out to the museum leadership and offered to design, plant, and maintain flower containers at the entrance of the museum. It has been a pleasure to work at the museum and we hope to continue in the years ahead.
The Castle Rock Community Garden at Glovers Park is a community-based and community-run garden area where Castle Rock residents can garden in raised beds during the summer months.
In the spring of 2022 Douglas County Garden Club volunteered to plant and maintain an area that borders the sidewalk in front of the community garden area. Working the soil and planting the flowers has been a rewarding project for garden club members, but we also enjoyed interacting with community that walk by our flower bed. Stop by the gardens to enjoy the beauty of this lovely community garden.
Containers of annual and perennial flowers, that are planted by Douglas County Garden Club members, enhance the front entrance to the VA clinic.
Thousands of community residents enjoy the beautiful display of flowers as they enter and leave the VA.
